There’s a lot that’s happened in the last couple weeks that would have made me quit if I wasn’t already. This week just takes the cake.

I feel like this is the 3rd job you’ve left in the last couple of years..

I hope I never reach that guys level of face-punchability.

That’s what it’s referring to correct?

I had an acquaintance once say that to me, not knowing what I did for a living. I just left and didn’t engage. I really wanted to tell him being paid more than someone isn’t an accomplishment (even though he was paid less than what I was making at the time).

I haven’t stayed anywhere more than a year since I graduated. I’ve gotten to the point in my life where I know what I bring to a team and work hard to show that every day. When I find a place that recognizes that, I’ll stay.

But yes, I’ve had 4 jobs in 3 years.

Not at all. If you watch the show, he actually is a good guy.

I'm not making a moral judgement, just that his face is begging for a knuckle sandwich.

Well at least you’re leaving them on your own terms. I will say a lot of employers look at your resume, and want to see a stable history. A lot of job changes, or decades at 1 job both give not so good impressions. Staying at a company for 20 years could mean you get complacent, and don’t have any ambition. Changing jobs every 12 months could mean you’re never satisfied, and not worth investing time in if you might leave in a year anyway. 4-7 years is a good number to aim for.
